Temporary and Part-Time Social Counselors Wanted

Are you a solution-focused person who enjoys challenges? We are now looking for temporary summer workers and part-time social counselors who have a genuine interest and experience with the target group.

About the Role and Your Responsibilities

With us, you will have a varied, independent, and important job with residents of Lund who have or have had harmful use or dependency and/or suffer from mental health issues. You will receive a solid introduction to the work, good opportunities for professional development, and continuous support from your colleagues and manager. Our unit is characterized by a positive spirit, and we are committed to finding the best support for our users.

In your role, you will be responsible for designing implementation plans and mapping the user's support needs and abilities together with the user, conducting regular evaluations, and participating in SIP and other important meetings. We collaborate broadly with social workers, relatives, guardians, and regional/primary care. Your daily work is based on each user's individual implementation plan, which may involve support with tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping. You will motivate users to engage in activities and employment, both inside and outside the residence, to break isolation and work towards independence, self-sufficiency, and long-term housing.

Regular documentation is part of your work with us.

To assist you in your work as a social counselor, you will have, in addition to your manager, a pedagogical coordinator, a unit administrator, and a team of colleagues who support and strengthen each other.

We Are Looking for You

We are looking for someone who has started/completed higher education or vocational training with a focus on social psychiatry, social pedagogy, social work, or other education deemed relevant by the employer. You need to have good self-awareness, be able to lead yourself, and make well-founded decisions based on the best interests of the organization.

You should have knowledge of social documentation, and if you have previously worked in the Pro Capita IFO or Lifecare systems, that is an advantage.

We prefer candidates with work experience in addiction issues, social psychiatry/co-occurring disorders, and familiarity with the target group. You need to have a good ability to collaborate, create structure, plan, and take responsibility. You are humble, clear, and recognize the equal value of all individuals and must have the ability to lead yourself.

We Offer You

As an employee with us, you will be offered a range of benefits focusing on balance, security, and health. Lund Municipality is a large organization with many exciting activities and opportunities for employee development. As an employee, you will also have access to our benefits portal where you can easily view and manage your benefits. About the Workplace

At Support in Housing for Adults, we work with individuals who have been outside society for several years, have or have had harmful use or dependency, as well as mental health issues, who need support to become free from their dependency. The unit has two different interventions, one being Housing First with a focus on staying in place and taking over the apartment lease. The other intervention is a motivational housing program where users rent their apartments in the second hand, and staff have offices and common areas with the users. The goal is to help users move on to their own long-term housing and strengthen their abilities/connect them to other support, so that the users can become as independent as possible. Users typically stay with us for 6-18 months. We work on a schedule and every third weekend. Our working methods are continuously developed to meet the needs of Lund residents in the best way, and we hope you want to help us become even better. We are a cheerful team that welcomes part-time and summer workers with open arms. The team with the manager enjoys challenges and development, and we have a common motto: "there are no problems that do not have a solution, and together we will find it". If you are passionate about the target group as we are, have a solution-focused mindset, and enjoy challenges, then you are the right colleague for us.

About Us

We are part of the labor market and social administration, where about 600 employees provide support to the residents of Lund who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people have the best possible upbringing. We focus on the whole family's situation and that no one should suffer. It is about providing support to adults with harmful use and dependency or mental disabilities, to those who need financial assistance, guardianship, or support to study or work, as well as to refugees.

Here you will find space to grow. Within Lund Municipality, we place knowledge at the center and create opportunities for development in the workplace. We offer an inclusive work environment and the chance to make a difference. Do you want to be one of us?
