Your role with us

In your work, you will be a support for individuals within LSS. Staff here work to support the individual in their daily life and leisure. Our clients have a great need for support due to their mental health issues, but also sometimes due to physical disabilities. Our goal is for our clients to feel safe and be met according to their conditions, needs, and wishes.

The tasks mainly consist of providing our clients with individual support, developing and maintaining abilities and communication considering the disability. You support clients' participation in leisure and cultural activities, participation at all different levels, individual, group, and community level, as well as self-determination and personal integrity.

You are a contact person, and in this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is established and followed up. Furthermore, you are responsible for social documentation according to applicable guidelines. If necessary, you perform medical tasks delegated by a nurse, or assist the client with self-care. Care work may occur.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a recognized education from the child and leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work, alternatively the care and nursing program with a vocational outcome in healthcare or dementia care, or other education that the employer finds equivalent. Experience working with people with disabilities is meritorious, as well as good knowledge and experience in psychiatry and mental health.

You need to be able to work independently with the client, manage clients with outwardly aggressive behavior, and have knowledge/experience of working with low-arousal responses and clear pedagogy.

Since the work requires communication and documentation, we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. You need to be able to cycle.

You are comfortable working alone and can work both independently and together with colleagues.

The operations of the Care Administration are aimed at the elderly and individuals who need functional support as well as those in need of home healthcare. The operation is functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
