Stenungsund municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund municipality is part of the Gothenburg region's municipal federation, which is a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.

The municipality is organized into a management with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disability services.

Within the disability area, interventions are implemented according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL) aimed at people with various disabilities. The interventions are designed to strengthen individuals' ability to actively participate in community life and to live and reside under safe conditions, with respect for self-determination and integrity. Daily activities, group homes, psychiatry, short-term housing, and various relief forms are some of the support functions. All instances in the chain contribute to qualitative and secure support for people with disabilities.

Within the social services sector, we work with optimized staffing, which means that you will be able to work in more units than where you are currently placed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within LSS housing, you will meet people with many different functional variations.

Staff at the residence should support users with their daily living through individualized everyday support. This involves varied tasks focusing on motivational work and support with practical matters such as hygiene, cleaning, cooking, and other household chores.

Staff should also support users in their leisure and social lives. As a support assistant, you will work to promote users' participation, independence, abilities, and skills in all respects.

The needs are continuously adapted according to the needs of the operation, which means that you should be prepared to work both day, evening, weekend, and on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have completed the care program with a focus on support assistant, children and leisure, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. A university degree in behavioral sciences is an advantage. The work requires responsibility, accuracy, flexibility, security, responsiveness, patience, service orientation, good collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.

We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and a good value base. You should have the ability to create good relationships and to empathize with another person's situation, wishes, and needs in order to work from a user perspective and put the individual's needs at the center.

You should also have knowledge of low-arousal approaches, clarifying pedagogy, motivational work/approaches, and a good ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical work with individual users.

Previous work experience within the autism spectrum, Down syndrome, and working with outwardly aggressive users is also advantageous.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

The position is 100% full-time. A six-month probationary period applies. The employment involves work during the day and evening as well as every other weekend according to a schedule.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews are planned to be held on: 12/3, 13/3, and 17/3
