The Rescue Mission is a non-profit organization that has been conducting social work based on Christian values since the early 1950s through around 30 different activities. We dream of a city where no one is left behind. Where all people can live a dignified life.

We are now looking for those who want to substitute at Styrmansgatan's psychiatric residence for two of our treatment assistants who will go on parental leave. We need you who want to work with us towards our vision; a dignified life for all!

Styrmansgatan's group home Styrmansgatan is a group home that offers support and care for adults with mental disabilities. There are 12 apartments for individuals with LSS and SoL decisions, and we are staffed around the clock. We are a residence where the residents can stay despite greater physical care needs.

Treatment Assistant at Styrmansgatan We want to create good conditions for the residents and work habilitatively. Therefore, we are looking for you who see the importance of meeting people at eye level, enjoy good collaboration with colleagues, and above all want a meaningful job!

Responsibilities: - Responsible for care and support in daily life based on the user's needs. - Continuously work with social documentation. - Contact person together with a colleague for 2 of our residents. - Simple cooking in the evenings and weekends for the residents. - Collaboration with outpatient care.

Qualifications: We are looking for you who believe in every person's right to a dignified life and who:

  • is a nursing assistant or has education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

  • has experience with users with various forms of mental disabilities.

  • has worked in psychiatry, dual diagnosis, and with somatic difficulties.

  • has a genuine interest in the target group and wants to contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.

  • is accustomed to working in a low-arousal manner and meets our residents and colleagues with goodwill and respect.

  • has a good ability to express and formulate yourself in speech and writing.

  • has a good ability to work pedagogically around common goals and methods based on the individual’s implementation plan.

  • has read and shares the Rescue Mission's values and wants to follow our codes of conduct through respect, warmth, and dignity.

As a person, you are secure and stable, with the ability to take responsibility for your tasks and can handle relationships and tasks in a professional manner. You have the ability to understand someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. When circumstances change, you adapt and handle the situation with focus on the right things by listening and prioritizing. You are a team player who finds it easy to convey and receive messages.

Meritorious: We see it as meritorious if you:

  • have worked in a group home.

  • have had delegation in medication.

  • experience with MI.

  • have training in and have worked with low-arousal responses.

  • have a B driver's license for manual transmission.

Employment Conditions Employment Type: Substitute for parental leave. Extent: Full-time substitute and part-time substitute approximately 60-75%. Working Hours: Varying according to schedule day, evening, and weekend. Start Date: Full-time substitute: June 1, 2026, or by agreement. End Date: August 31, 2027 Part-time substitute: April 1, 2026, or by agreement. End Date: December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. Collective Agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply Vision's collective agreement “Health, care, and other care”.
