We are looking for you to work as a personal assistant
You must be able to speak and understand Swedish well, as many positions require you to interpret for the person you are working for.
Right now, we have everything from hourly employment and larger positions at 30-80% that continue as long as the assistance assignment lasts, but also summer jobs. We rarely have positions that only involve daytime work on weekdays.
We in the recruitment department will make a selection among the incoming applications and match suitable candidates with one of the assistance recipients in GIL who are currently looking for staff.
Working as a personal assistant can often be different from other jobs. How it turns out depends on who you work for and who you are. You choose each other and build a relationship that feels good for both. For many, previous work experience and education are quite uninteresting; it is often about personal chemistry.
The tasks for a personal assistant depend on who you work for. Some need a lot of help with physical tasks, others with mental tasks. Some party hard, travel far, have many children. Some study, others work. Someone often hangs out in the stable, others like hockey. Someone enjoys painting, another loves princess cakes. Some are quiet, others talkative.
Several of the positions require you to have a driver's license and access to a car to be able to get to the workplace.

About GIL
GIL has coordinated personal assistance since 1989. For us, personal assistance is about creating conditions for a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. In many assignments, the assistance recipient is the leader, while others have appointed a deputy leader. Assignments and roles vary depending on the activity and function.
GIL's office provides support in areas such as management, administration, finance, HR, and training. Together, we contribute to making everyday life work for both assistance recipients and employees within the cooperative.
To attract and retain secure and engaged employees, GIL invests in training and joint activities.
- GIL's assistants have a collective agreement with Fremia–Kommunal
- Health and wellness allowance up to 2,500 SEK/year
- Individual salary setting
- A criminal record check may be requested depending on the position
