The Department of Language, Literature, and Learning (ISLL) offers courses and programs in language, linguistics, culture, and literature from undergraduate to master's levels. Most of the department's subjects are an important part of teacher education programs. Almost all teaching is online and integrates teaching technology and pedagogy that together enable interactive real-time seminars. The linguistic diversity among our teachers enriches the education and research conducted at the department. We collaborate in a cohesive academic environment and cooperate both nationally and internationally to ensure the quality of our courses. The research within the department has three main focuses: linguistics, literary studies, and didactics and learning.
Your Workday
Your role as an administrative officer is primarily to provide administrative support to the head of department and the heads of divisions, as well as colleagues. You participate as a secretary in various meetings, where you arrange, send out invitations, and write minutes. You have many internal contacts and are in close collaboration with your colleagues in similar roles at other departments. Document management and archiving of various documents, preparation of decision materials, some invoice handling, and data entry in various systems are examples of additional tasks. If needed, you will also assist in booking travel, reserving venues, arranging receptions, and similar activities. Administrative management of course and program plans is also part of the job. The pace is often high, and the day does not always go as planned. The tasks are varied and change from day to day.

Requirements for the position:
- A theoretical high school education
- At least 2 years of experience working with qualified administrative tasks
- You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
- Good knowledge of the Office suite and strong digital competence
Meritorious for the position:
- Other relevant post-secondary education
- Experience in a similar administrative role within the higher education sector
- Experience in academic operations
- Experience working in public sector, especially government

Employment
The position is a fixed-term employment, starting as soon as possible until 2026-09-22, with a possible extension. The position is full-time (100%). Dalarna University operates at two locations. The place of employment for this position is in Falun, but work in Borlänge may occur.
