About us

Welcome to Närhälsan Oden health center! Here, 60 dedicated employees work in various professional categories such as doctors, district nurses, specialist nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, psychologists, social workers, and psychotherapists. Currently, we have 11,600 registered patients of various ages with us, and together we work to meet our patients' needs in the best possible way.

The mental health team consists of seven psychologists, four social workers, one psychotherapist, and a unit manager.

About the job

We are now offering PTP training with the possibility of continued employment after licensure. Your tasks will consist of conducting psychological treatment under supervision, which involves assessing and treating mental and behavioral health issues based on the primary care mission for patients from 6 years old and throughout their lives. The focus is on preventive and early interventions based on common reasons for seeking care at a health center. You will work based on the needs of the registered population with digital care meetings, internet and group therapy, as well as physical individual visits.

Närhälsan Oden is one of the health centers in the Västra Götaland region that has the additional assignment of Young People's Mental Health (UPH). UPH's mission is to receive, assess, and treat mental health at the primary care level for children and adolescents aged 6-18 years. We accept patients from a large area, and you do not need to be registered at the health center to be a patient at UPH. Here, work is offered both in groups and individually, with children and their guardians. The work at UPH is characterized by strong community, collegial support, and great opportunities for development in many different clinical areas.

We work according to Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), where the work includes high accessibility, stepwise care, and collaboration with other professionals and healthcare neighbors. It is important that you have an interest in working according to the principles of IBH. This means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues. It also means working with stepwise care, where interventions range from psychoeducation and self-care advice to guided treatment with literature or internet treatment, group therapy, or individual treatment interventions. To meet the needs of the entire patient population, the ability to vary methods and the extent of treatment interventions is required.

About you

You have completed a psychology degree with eligibility to conduct PTP training. You have studied CBT or another relevant focus for psychological treatment. You have an interest in primary care, integrated behavioral health (IBH), and stepwise care. You have an interest in working with patients of all ages, from 6 years old and throughout their lives.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development work of the organization. We hope you will participate in the daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health center and contribute as a consultative resource to other professions. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a good approach.

About the recruitment process

The selection process takes place in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who invite candidates for a phone interview. Then, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
