About us

Welcome to When Health Öckerö Health Center! The health center is centrally located in the growing municipality of Öckerö.

There are good commuting options to Öckerö by bus from Gothenburg. Stops and free parking are available in close proximity to the health center. The health center is located in modern air-conditioned premises. In the same premises, there are, among other things, pediatric medicine, rehabilitation, and youth reception. This provides short communication paths and opportunities for simple collaborations.

Öckerö Health Center has a stable staff where we have built a nice and family-friendly health center together, focusing on good accessibility and good service. Today we are 23 people in different professional groups working at the health center and have about 5,500 listed patients of all ages. We actively work to improve and develop the operations where everyone is involved. We have frequent staff meetings and professional meetings where we jointly work on and follow up ongoing projects. Öckerö Health Center is a small health center with short decision-making paths, and you as an employee have great opportunities to influence working methods and routines.

At When Health Öckerö Health Center, we work with everything from preventive health work to acute care. We offer medical consultations, sampling, district nurse consultations, child health care, and also clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, hypertension, menopause, as well as elderly and dementia care. We also have a rehabilitation coordinator and care planning nurse, as well as a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, and care coordinator. We have a relatively low proportion of sick leave cases and actively and jointly work on these through weekly multidisciplinary collaboration and rehabilitation meetings.

About the job

Your tasks encompass the entire breadth of the general medical field. Everything from children to the elderly and also a touch of rural medicine as many of our listed patients live on the islands in Gothenburg's northern archipelago.

In recent years, we have developed a well-functioning drop-in clinic for visits with doctors, district nurses/nurses, and for sampling. We also work with multidisciplinary team rounds four times a week.

You and your colleagues form a team with great opportunities to develop the operations. We achieve success together in a stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming climate. The role also includes supervision of ST and AT doctors as well as medical students; it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals.

We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities, for example through continuous further education of ten days per year. Good scheduling/work hours with time for administration and reflection, as well as opportunities to work remotely, are available. About you

You are a licensed physician and have specialist training in general medicine or geriatrics, with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement for the position.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good demeanor since you will meet many different patients at the health center. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
