The psychiatric outpatient clinic in Skövde is part of operational area 6 and is part of the psychiatric services within Skaraborg Hospital.

The unit provides specialized psychiatric care and consists of a clinic, day care, and a mobile team. We are about 65 people working in the unit with ten different professions, and together we provide a rich variety of competencies. We are located at Skaraborg Hospital Skövde.

The clinic moved in 2022 to new and modern premises that are specially adapted and designed for psychiatry.

Responsibilities

Working as a nurse in psychiatric outpatient care is a varied and exciting job. The core of our operations is the meeting with the patient. We are now looking for a nurse for the psychosis team. You will work with everything from telephone counseling to patient visits and process development.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a psychiatric nurse or a nurse with experience in psychiatry. Completed training in CBT level 1 is advantageous for the position.

Other

When filling a position within psychiatry, we will request an extract from the suspicion and criminal record register. This request is handled by the employer.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes introductory days, supervision and training days, as well as observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills, as well as to grow into their new profession.

In the event of recruitment of nurses with foreign qualifications/specialist certificates, the relevant position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish qualifications/specialist certificates.
