About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Öckerö Health Center! The health center is centrally located in the growing municipality of Öckerö.

There are good commuting options to Öckerö by bus from Gothenburg. Stops and free parking are available in close proximity to the health center. The health center is located in modern, air-conditioned premises. In the same premises, there are also pediatric medicine, rehabilitation, and youth clinics. This provides short communication paths and opportunities for easy collaboration.

Öckerö Health Center has a stable staff where we have together built a nice and familiar health center where we focus on good accessibility and good service. Today, we are 23 people in different professional groups working at the health center and have around 5,500 registered patients of all ages. We actively work to improve and develop the operations where everyone is involved. We have frequent staff meetings and professional meetings where we collectively work on and follow up on ongoing projects. Öckerö Health Center is a small health center with short decision-making paths, and as an employee, you have great opportunities to influence work methods and routines.

At Närhälsan Öckerö Health Center, we work with everything from preventive health work to acute care. We offer medical consultations, testing, district nurse consultations, child health care, and also clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, hypertension, menopause, as well as elderly and dementia care. We also have a rehabilitation coordinator and a care planning nurse, as well as a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, and care coordinator. We have a relatively low proportion of sick leave cases and actively work together on these through weekly multidisciplinary collaboration and rehabilitation meetings.

About the Job

Your tasks encompass the entire breadth of the general medical field. Everything from children to the elderly and also a touch of rural medicine as many of our registered patients live on the islands in Gothenburg's northern archipelago.

In recent years, we have developed a well-functioning drop-in clinic for visits to doctors, district nurses/nurses, and for testing. We also work with multidisciplinary team rounds four times a week.

You will work independently and variably with outpatient work. Opportunities to work remotely are available. Guidance is provided by an experienced specialist who offers you support and knowledge exchange. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities where good scheduling/work hours exist with time for administration and reflection. About You

You are a licensed physician with the authority to operate within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and undertaking specialist training in general medicine. You possess language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good demeanor since you will meet many different patients at the health center. You thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.

Interviews at the health center are conducted continuously during the application period.

The position is a temporary position for 6 months, with the possibility of extension and specialist training.

For those who have trained as doctors abroad and have not completed their internship in Sweden to obtain a medical license, the new regulations regarding Basic Training from July 1, 2021, apply. Basic Training for physicians (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the specialization training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means that you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your ST.
