JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a couple of new specialist doctor colleagues in both locations, Malmö and Trelleborg. You can choose in the survey which location you are applying for.

As a specialist doctor, you will work on creating alliances, investigating and assessing, as well as diagnosing patients. You will also make acute assessments regarding suicide risk, threats, and violence, as well as care certificates. Your work also includes being active in teaching medical students, junior doctors, and residents. Additionally, you will have a very close collaboration with inpatient care if the patient is hospitalized and collaborate with other actors such as social services, primary care, and home care.

You will work together in a team with professionals such as nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, caregivers, and medical secretaries. Your role involves participating in and leading referral conferences and treatment conferences, as well as being involved in other meetings at the reception, such as workplace meetings and medical meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision. It is an advantage if you have experience and interest in method development and change work.

As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and other partners. Additionally, you have a good attitude towards both colleagues and patients and are good at adapting when circumstances change. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that doctors have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students, as well as doctors in training and as a co- or main supervisor of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application the pedagogical courses you have completed or planned, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
