RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a couple of new specialist doctor colleagues in both locations, Malmö and Trelleborg. You can choose in the survey which location you are applying for.

As a specialist doctor, you will work with creating alliances, assessing and diagnosing patients. You will also make urgent assessments regarding suicide risk, threats and violence as well as care certificates. Your work also includes being active in teaching medical students, junior doctors, and residents. Additionally, you will have a very close collaboration with inpatient care if the patient is hospitalized and cooperate with other actors such as social services, primary care, and home care.

You will work together in a team with professionals such as nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, caregivers, and medical secretaries. Your role involves participating in and leading referral conferences and treatment conferences as well as being involved in the clinic's other meetings such as workplace meetings and doctor meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision. It is an advantage if you have experience and interest in method development and change work.

As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and other partners. Additionally, you have a good approach towards both colleagues and patients and are good at adapting when circumstances change. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that doctors have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as doctors in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral students. Clearly describe in your application completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision and teaching at different levels.

For the position of assistant chief physician, a certificate of service must also be attached. For chief physician positions, a diploma regarding disputation, a certificate of docentship, and a publication list (divided into original publications, review articles, and other publications) may also be required. NOTE! These digital documents are forwarded for expert assessment, so they must accompany your application. Non-Nordic dissertations must be attached to the application and assessed by the Swedish Council for Higher Education and meet the requirements for doctoral dissertations at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.
