Make a Difference. Every Day.

Do you want to contribute to our high-quality healthcare and help us develop the future of specialized palliative care in the northeastern part of Skåne? Then you might be the new colleague we are looking for!

The unit for palliative care and advanced home healthcare (ASIH) within Region Skåne has the overarching goal of providing equal care to all residents of Skåne, regardless of diagnosis, age, and place of residence. In Kristianstad, the unit has a specific mission to provide palliative specialist care through home visits around the clock. The unit consists of two parts that work closely together; the palliative care department and advanced home healthcare. In our palliative care department in Kristianstad, we have ten care places, and within the municipalities of Kristianstad, Bromölla, Östra Göinge, Hässleholm, Osby, and Perstorp, we have about 30 care places at home. We collaborate with municipal care and support to provide comprehensive care together.

Patients come to our palliative care department for shorter or longer stays, depending on the reason for admission. We also have a palliative consultation team that visits referred patients in hospitals and at home and provides support to other healthcare providers. For the past year, we have also started a palliative specialist clinic (PSM) during the day. This, along with our consultative support, will constitute a large part of our future mission as we actively work with the future of healthcare by meeting more patients at an early stage. One step in this is Basoncology, which is a regional collaborative effort to bring care closer to patients. Individuals who have undergone cancer treatment are offered symptom relief and some treatment at home instead of being hospitalized.

As an employee at ASIH, you will work in a creative organization alongside competent colleagues, where you are an important part of the team. Short decision-making paths give you great opportunities to influence your work. We have our own on-call line together with ASIH in Hässleholm, and the team's doctors are available around the clock.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to retirement, we now welcome new colleagues who have a genuine interest in palliative care and want to develop in the field with us at ASIH in Kristianstad. With us, you will be offered a developing and exciting job where you become part of a multidisciplinary team.

As a nurse with us, you will perform advanced healthcare at home. You will lead and actively participate in planning the patient's daily care together with other professionals and collaborate with other healthcare providers. You are also expected to actively participate in the development and improvement work of the organization. The goal of specialized care is to collaborate with the patient and other healthcare providers to alleviate the symptoms that the patient is suffering from to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This means addressing the patient's physical, psychological, existential needs and providing support to their loved ones.

As a newly hired nurse with us, you will receive at least four weeks of shadowing. We follow an introduction program developed at the unit, and after completing the shadowing, you will have mentorship support from a colleague based on your needs. We value development work, continuing education, supervision, and reflection for both new hires and experienced staff. We have close cooperation with the palliative care department for inpatients, ASIH in Hässleholm, as well as with the hospital and various clinics. We collaborate with CSK regarding the care of patients within basoncology. With us, you will also be offered wellness benefits and individual scheduling via MultiAccess.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare, preferably with a few years of professional experience. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. We would also like you to have specialist training in oncology and/or palliative care. Since the operation consists of care places in the patient's own home or in special housing, a valid B driver's license is a requirement for the position.

You who apply are secure in your professional role and have the patient in focus, which means you have the ability to see the patient as an individual and their needs. Part of the work involves support and conversations, so it is important that you are communicative and able to meet people on different levels. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and can prioritize between different tasks when the work pace is high. To thrive with us, you need to be able to work independently and make your own decisions. We see that you are willing to share your knowledge and cheerful demeanor to create a good working atmosphere. We value a positive attitude and a desire to be involved in our development work. As you will become an important employee in our organization, we place great importance on good collaboration skills and personal suitability.

We apply ongoing selection in this recruitment. Warm welcome with your application today!
