About Us

The Economic Assistance Unit is divided into a reception group and a follow-up group. The unit consists of 17 social workers, an administrator, two assistant unit managers, and a unit manager. The unit is responsible for the work with economic assistance. Our mission is to work together with the applicant to find sustainable solutions that enhance the possibility of becoming self-sufficient.

The reception group is the individual's first contact with economic assistance. The group is responsible for new visits and writes comprehensive basic investigations as well as managing the unit's emergency operations. The follow-up group works long-term with the client, processes monthly applications, and focuses on change work.

About the Position

As a summer substitute in economic assistance, you will receive phone calls from individuals seeking economic assistance, share on-call duties with a colleague, and work together with individuals to find their way to self-sufficiency. You will process applications for economic assistance. The job involves a lot of contact with individuals, authorities, and other units within the office.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed at least five semesters of the social work program or is a qualified social worker.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
• Completed your practical training (VFU) within an authority, preferably in economic assistance.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience with the operational system Combine

As a person, you are structured by organizing your work well and ensuring that you complete what you have started within set deadlines. You are curious and want to learn more about economic assistance. Furthermore, we see that you are confident and collaborative with good communication skills. For us, this means that you work with the individual in focus and find it easy to collaborate both internally and externally. You are also flexible and not afraid to make decisions.
