Description

Welcome to apply for a position with us at the Unit for Financial Assistance in Hägersten-Älvsjö SDF.

The positions are placed in the investigation group for financial assistance. In the investigation group, there are 18 social workers, two group leaders, and one introduction coordinator. The group is led by a unit manager. We focus on goals for our residents, legal security, good treatment, and social change work. We collaborate with addiction care and social psychiatry when our residents have complex needs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for two dedicated social workers who are passionate about social work and creating conditions for our residents to achieve self-sufficiency. We are looking for you who understand the mission; to simultaneously work with social change and assess the right to financial assistance. We want you to be fearless and curious to meet clients regardless of target group. You need to have the ability to maintain good structure in the ongoing administrative work with processing applications, and you need to have the mindset that it is important for clients to receive decisions on time and that the decisions are correct.

We welcome you who meet our residents with great respect, understanding, and the ability to motivate. You have high service capacity and a genuine interest in supporting people in difficult situations. You also need to understand the importance of collaborating with other actors both externally and internally in your authority work.

Qualifications

A degree in social work is required, and you are welcome to have experience in financial assistance or other authority work.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the city's documentation system Paraplyet and in Motivational Interviewing.

We also see that you are ambitious, have social engagement, the ability to collaborate with others, and that you are meticulous in your work. We want you to be fearless, curious, have a high sense of service, and that you always have a client focus in your work.

Start date in June 2026 or earlier by agreement.
