The Child Investigation Unit has a unit manager, two administrators, 25 social workers, including three specialized case managers and four senior social workers. The unit works with the target group of children aged 0-12 years and their families. The unit's mission consists of investigating children's needs for protection and/or support according to SoL and LVU, as well as making preliminary assessments in ongoing cases. The mission also includes following up on decided interventions. The investigation unit is divided into four teams led by senior social workers. In the teams, we have in-depth discussions, knowledge of each other's cases, and close supervision, which increases the legal security in the handling.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your tasks include:
- Relieving social workers of commonly occurring tasks in the unit. This may involve assisting social workers during investigations and follow-ups of interventions.
- The social assistant is also expected to provide administrative support to the entire unit, for example, by documenting during various meetings (SIP, network meetings, home visits, child conversations).
- Your tasks also include reviewing and sorting files, sending out invitations, booking meetings, communicating decision-making materials, managing agreements with contact persons and foster families, and following up on these and other interventions with the support of social workers.
- We also envision that the social assistant, in dialogue with social workers, coordinates and attends visits and participates in observations in the home and accompanies social workers during follow-ups of placements, which may also be in another location.
At the end of the recruitment process, you as a final candidate will be asked to complete your application with an extract from the criminal record for work with children in activities other than school and childcare.
QUALIFICATIONS
We see that you have some form of post-secondary education in social work. We believe that the education you have completed should be relevant to the work, e.g., with a focus on sociology, pedagogy, social studies, behavioral science, and/or children and family. Since travel is involved in the position, a driver's license (B) is a requirement.
Previous work experience in social or educational activities or similar work (administrative or assisting work) is, as a starting point, a requirement. We also see that you need to have good computer skills.
If you also have previous experience working in social services, we consider that a strong merit.
