The HR department coordinates and drives the development of the municipality's HR processes and is responsible for labor law interpretation, employment conditions, and personnel policy. Through strategic work with guidelines, support, collaboration with employee organizations, and monitoring the external environment, we create conditions for a strong employer policy. We also handle salaries for the entire municipal group.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a central HR function within the Municipal Executive Office, where our dedicated team of 13 employees works across the entire HR field. We are now looking for an HR consultant who wants to contribute to developing and supporting the operations together with us.

As an HR consultant, you will be offered a varied assignment where you will work with both operational and strategic HR support to managers. The HR unit is responsible for HR support to four of the municipality's administrations: the Municipal Executive Office, the Culture and Leisure Administration, the Social Services Administration, and the Western Gästrikland Community Building Administration. With us, you will have the opportunity to use a consultative and coaching approach from your HR perspective to ensure that our managers and operations have the best conditions to achieve their goals.

You will work broadly within the entire HR area and have a varied assignment in areas such as workplace environment, labor law, competence supply, salary review, and workplace adaptation. As an HR consultant, you will have significant responsibility where you will plan, drive, and follow up on HR work within your area. The role also involves conducting training for managers and employees in various parts of the HR field.

You will work closely with colleagues in the HR unit and collaborate with both managers and HR colleagues in the administrations. This allows for development in the role and sharing experiences from the entire organization.

We are a close-knit and committed team that enjoys working together. Welcome to become a part of the HR unit!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who feels confident in driving issues across the entire HR field. You have a service-oriented and coaching approach and are good at listening to the various needs of the organization. We see that you are unpretentious and have the ability to create good trusting relationships, where you both support and challenge when needed. You are flexible and can easily switch between different tasks. We see that you are structured and have a solution-oriented mindset.

To succeed in the role, you need to enjoy working independently, take your own initiatives, complete assignments, and have an easy time prioritizing. In your work, you act with a high degree of personal maturity and integrity.

  • a degree from a university/college education in the HR field or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • at least three years of experience in qualified and broad HR work
