The Supervisory Board is responsible for overseeing guardians, curators, and custodians. The Supervisory Unit investigates the need for representatives, reviews reports, and processes cases according to the Parental Code and other relevant legislation.
The unit consists of twelve employees and is located in the Administrative Building in central Gävle. There is an opportunity for remote work up to 50 percent according to current guidelines.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The position involves independent processing and authority exercise within the supervisory area. You are responsible for investigating, assessing, and making decisions in cases according to applicable legislation.
The tasks include, among others:
- Investigation in connection with the arrangement of guardianship and curatorship for individual residents
- Processing applications for the Supervisory Board's consent to enter into larger agreements and legal actions, such as regarding estates, real estate, etc.
- Review and follow-up of custodians' financial management
- Preparation of decision-making documents and statements
- Collaboration with courts, other authorities, and external parties
- Representing the Supervisory Board at court hearings, primarily in cases of curatorship
- The work requires legal security, careful documentation, and professional treatment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Requirements
To be considered for the position, you must have:
- Higher education in law or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience in interpreting and applying legislation
- Good digital competence and experience working in operational systems
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
Meritorious
- Experience in processing within the supervisory operations
- Experience in exercising authority
- Experience in qualified work within public operations

- Structured working ability: You plan, prioritize, and complete tasks while maintaining quality even under high workloads.
