Judge at Gävle District Court

Gävle District Court is a medium-sized court serving the municipalities of Gävle, Sandviken, Hofors, and Ockelbo. We have approximately 45 employees.

The court is under the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal for Lower Norrland. The court handles civil cases, criminal cases, matters, and bankruptcies, resolving over 5,000 cases and matters each year.

The court is centrally located within walking and cycling distance to public transport, shops, and restaurants. There are good transport links by train or car to and from Gävle, and it is quick to reach Arlanda Airport.

In the Gävle region, there are several kilometers of beaches by the sea, skiing in Kungsberget, and Boulognerskogen - a city park in central Gävle that offers a café, swimming beach, exercise trails, etc. There is also an opportunity to watch high-level ice hockey.

We have an efficient preparation organization with good results.

The work as a judge is stimulating and demands high levels of independence and integrity, as well as the ability to collaborate and consider the best interests of the entire court.

We are looking for someone who wants to try a varied and independent legal work and who may wish to apply for a permanent judgeship in the future.

The court works digitally with the handling of cases and matters, and there is the possibility to work from home if needed.

The employment is a fixed-term position of 6 months or longer.
