As a data protection officer, you will collaborate with a group of data protection specialists, the information security officer, and other parts of the organization that affect the application of GDPR. You will help develop data protection work by providing advice and guidance and monitoring compliance with data protection legislation.
IF Metall is responsible for and processes a significant amount of personal data concerning members and employees. The union is now expanding the resources of the data protection officer from one to two data protection officers. To ensure that the union operates correctly and in accordance with the data protection regulation, we are now recruiting an additional data protection officer.
The position is full-time and is a permanent employment located at the union office at Hötorget in Stockholm. Here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with engaged colleagues in modern and spacious premises. There are opportunities for remote work. We look forward to your application!
About the position
Your duties as a data protection officer include, among other things:
- informing and advising data controllers within the organization
- monitoring compliance with data protection legislation
- reporting to the union board
- presenting an annual audit plan for planned reviews
- participating in all matters concerning the protection of personal data
- advising on data protection impact assessments
- advising on personal data incidents
- being a contact point for data subjects
- reviewing data processors
- conducting training
- supporting the further development of routines and governing documents
Who are you?
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with extensive and broad experience in legal work and very good knowledge of data protection legislation.
It is an advantage if you have experience in business governance or internal auditing and/or good knowledge of IT and information security.
To succeed in this role, you should be able to work independently and with high integrity, as well as act professionally and with credibility. Furthermore, you are communicative, pedagogical, and have the ability to disseminate information.
We are looking for someone who shares the values of the labor movement and enjoys a varied work environment.
Start date by agreement, salary and employment conditions are according to the agreement for salaried employees. The position involves travel approximately 1-4 times per year.
