We are now looking for two individuals to strengthen the signals protection and to meet future challenges within the Navy.
About the unit
The Signals Protection Detail is part of the Navy Staff's Communications Department, M6, and is responsible for maintaining and protecting the Navy's command capability and command systems by ensuring technical protection and compliance with applicable regulations.
Main tasks
The work includes acting as the Navy's signals protection officer and ensuring that both the user's needs and the requirements of regulations are handled correctly and efficiently. We are looking for someone who wants to meet the challenges of the current situation together with us at the Navy Staff M6. We assume that you enjoy working in a team and function best with freedom and responsibility within given boundaries. You appreciate taking on new tasks and understand the importance of deadlines. It is absolutely essential that you, as an applicant, understand and act according to the Armed Forces' values. This is a crucial prerequisite for us to be able to operate and function effectively together in everyday as well as intensive situations.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Completed upper secondary education
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
Personal qualities
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for the job. Your personal qualities are characterized by accuracy, teamwork ability, joy of responsibility, and a strong ability to collaborate. You have a high learning ability and flexibility, as the training and operational environment is dynamic, while the signals protection area is detailed and governed by regulations.
DESIRABLE
- Competence in IT security and log analysis, to be substantiated with certificates and/or references
- Signals protection authorizations
- Military position training with a focus on command systems, systems technology, signals protection, or communications
- Experience working in military operations at a higher tactical or operational level
- Experience working in the Armed Forces' protected systems
- Experience collaborating with other authorities and entities in signals protection

The Armed Forces is undergoing extensive development work to build a stronger defense against the backdrop of a deteriorating security situation and a new defense political direction focusing on national defense. Leadership for a stronger defense aims to increase robustness, simplify command and obedience relationships, and through decentralization of mandates and responsibilities, enhance the conditions for mission tactics. As part of this work, the Armed Forces has organized a Navy Staff for the command of the Naval units. The Navy Staff is established in Muskö in Haninge municipality.

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required.
