Lawyer Wanted at the Swedish Audit Authority
RevisorsinspektionenStockholms län, Stockholm
Previous experience is desired
The Swedish Audit Authority is looking for a lawyer
Do you want to influence the future of auditing in Sweden? Are you a lawyer interested in working in areas that are constantly evolving? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
Our offer
We offer you a workplace with good opportunities for personal development and active participation in the development of the Swedish Audit Authority's operations. We value a good working environment and collegial community.
As a lawyer at the Swedish Audit Authority, you will work with the legal aspects related to auditing and auditors, and have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in areas such as corporate law and general administrative law.
In our risk-based supervision, you will investigate, in collaboration with our auditors, cases that are brought up for decisions on disciplinary actions. You will participate in the special quality controls we conduct of the auditors and registered audit firms that audit companies of public interest. There, lawyers and auditors also work in teams. The work also includes handling applications for advance rulings, cases that are appealed to the courts, and participating in legislative work in the auditing and audit areas (e.g., by participating in government investigations and drafting consultation responses). In addition, we conduct thematic supervision. This is an important part of preventive supervision where we identify and highlight common challenges within the industry.
The authority is currently focusing on anti-money laundering and economic crime, AI and digitalization, as well as reviewing sustainability information. These are issues that you, as a lawyer, may become involved in. Your work may also include representing the Swedish Audit Authority outwardly towards the industry and in international contexts.
Your qualifications and abilities
You should have:
• A law degree (Jur.kand. or equivalent).
• Several years of experience working in a government agency, such as the Government Offices, courts, supervisory and evaluation authorities, or other qualified professional experience, for example from an auditing or law firm.
• It is particularly meritorious if you have experience in working against economic crime or within the financial sector.
You can:
• Work in a structured and independent manner when the tasks require it.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law and handle large amounts of investigative material.
• Work strategically and see complex wholes and connections.
• Be proactive, innovative, and responsible in your work and at the workplace.
• Act with good judgment and high integrity.
• Express yourself well in both speech and writing.
• Work in teams and contribute to a good collaborative climate.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
More about the position
The position is a permanent full-time employment with individual salary setting.
The employment may begin with a probationary period. Start date by agreement.
We offer you a workplace with benefits such as flexible working hours and the possibility to work partially remotely.
Each employee has their own room and the office is centrally located in Stockholm (Karlavägen 104).
We also offer wellness grants, wellness hours, and regular health checks.
