Our mission:
At Avanzera, we are currently looking for an accounts assistant focused on accounts payable for a longer consulting assignment with one of our clients in the Stockholm area (western side, with good transport links).
This is an assignment for you who thrive in a role with clear workflows, many points of contact, and where you get to be an important part of a team that truly cares for each other. At the client, you will meet a nice group with a good atmosphere, where everyone helps out, shares knowledge, and where it is just as natural to solve things together as it is to say “how are you?” in the morning.
The assignment is full-time with a start date to be agreed upon. The client offers hybrid work with the possibility to work from home up to 2 days a week.

Responsibilities:
In the role of accounts assistant, you will primarily work with accounts payable and become a key person in the daily operations of the finance department. You will handle the flow from incoming invoices to payment while maintaining close communication with both internal and external contacts.
This is an environment with large volumes, so we are looking for someone who is confident in the accounts payable flow and used to working in a structured manner even when the pace is high. The client works with central coding of invoices, which means you will play an important role in ensuring an efficient flow and high quality in handling. In the long run, there is also the opportunity to contribute to improvements in routines and working methods related to the accounts payable flow.
You will work with:
- Handling incoming supplier invoices in the systems
- Ongoing invoice management and central coding
- Handling PO invoices (purchase order invoices) including matching against purchase orders
- Handling discrepancies in the PO flow and internal follow-up
- Ensuring correct VAT
- Reminders, claims, and handling supplier inquiries
- Contact with suppliers and internal support to the business regarding invoices
- Preparation of payment proposals and execution of payments
- Ongoing reconciliations of accounts payable and supplier debts
- Participation in monthly closing related to accounts payable (e.g., reconciliations)
- Contributing to the development of routines and working methods in the accounts payable flow
Your background:
We believe you are someone who enjoys structure and order, but who is also service-oriented and likes to have contact with others. You thrive in a team where people work closely together and where everyone takes responsibility and helps out when needed.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:
- Experience working with accounts payable in an organization with larger flows/volumes
- Experience with PO flow (purchase order invoices) and matching against purchase orders
- Experience working in a larger business system (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, Agresso/Unit4, Oracle, or similar)
- Good understanding of VAT and invoice management from an accounting perspective
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good system skills and ease in adapting to new working methods
- Attention to detail and a good sense for details
About the assignment
