Do you want to work with qualified analyses that contribute to well-founded political decisions? Are you motivated by delving into statistics, research, and complex societal issues? We are now looking for an analyst for the Secretariat for Operational Support at the Ministry of Employment.

As an analyst at the Secretariat for Operational Support, analysis function, you will work to produce qualified analytical materials to support the decision-making processes of the Government Offices. You will compile and analyze statistical data, interpret research and evaluation results, and translate complex knowledge into clear and useful decision-making materials.
The work primarily involves analyses within the labor market, labor life, and gender equality areas, but may also encompass other issues within the department's area of responsibility. You will independently be responsible for seeking relevant data and facts, conducting analyses, and drawing well-founded conclusions. A central part of the assignment is to present the results in a pedagogical and target group-adapted manner.
The role involves many points of contact and close collaboration with colleagues within the department and other parts of the Government Offices. The work is both operational and in-depth and places high demands on quality, accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple parallel assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Your background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in economics, statistics, or another relevant field. You have at least three years of experience in qualified investigative work within public operations or another relevant organization. You have current experience in processing and analyzing quantitative data, possess good knowledge of statistical methods, and are accustomed to working with statistical programs, such as SAS or STATA.
You have current experience in issues that fall within the Ministry of Employment's area of responsibility. You have worked independently to seek information, conduct analyses, draw relevant conclusions, and compile materials in a clear and pedagogical manner. You express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of English. A PhD, experience working within the Government Offices, or project management experience is an advantage.

As a person, you are analytical and have a strong problem-solving ability. You are quality-conscious, structured, and meticulous in your work. You enjoy working independently but also have good collaboration skills and actively contribute to a positive work environment. You are flexible and able to handle multiple parallel tasks and quickly familiarize yourself with new issues.

Fixed-term employment for approximately one year. A security clearance will be conducted before employment.
