About the position We are now looking for an Accountant to a government agency in Uppsala! You will work with ongoing accounting in Unit4 ERP, reconciliations and controls, as well as year-end and period-end closing. The role also includes budget monitoring, reporting and analysis, as well as work with invoicing and a project related to the invoicing process.
The position includes the following tasks:
- working in the accounting system Unit 4 ERP and others, working with accounting and bookkeeping (for example, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash and bank reconciliations)
- budget work
- producing reports on financial results and conducting analyses regarding results and year-end closing - participating in budget monitoring
- working with reconciliations, troubleshooting and controls
- working with year-end closing
- working with closing and period-end closing
- invoicing; participating in a project related to invoicing and fee control
Assignment period and scope:
The position as an Accountant is a full-time consulting assignment starting on 2026-03-11 and is expected to last until 2026-09-10. There is a possibility of extension for (6) months.
Requirements for the position:
- University degree in economics or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience from tasks corresponding to those mentioned above. Alternatively, high school or equivalent education in the relevant field and five (5) years of work experience as an accountant.
- Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent, especially Excel
- Experience in government accounting
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Supplier invoices - understanding or experience working with detailed coding or long code strings for operations with various funding sources.
- Supplier invoices - understanding the difference between operating costs and investments; both intangible (development projects) and tangible. This understanding is required because the coding differs depending on whether it is direct costs or fixed assets and also depends on different funding sources.
- Supplier flow - important to have the correct due date especially when disbursing funds that are transferred (= payment term 0 days).
- Customer invoicing based on established orders, quality assurance and invoicing.
- Payments - re-reporting of paid supplier invoices, customer payments and various other payments such as grants.
- Ability to communicate with the business regarding the above tasks.
- Be available for an interview during week 10
- Be able to submit one (1) reference assignment that confirms your competence according to the requirements and merits. The reference assignment must have been completed within the last three (3) years.

- Experience working with the financial system Proceedo
