About the job

We are looking for someone who wants to work with public transport services/national public transport services.

Take the chance and apply for a developing and educational job! The Social Welfare Sector, the Authority Unit, works with several different legislations, one of which is public transport services/national public transport services. Currently, two people work with these issues, one of whom will retire in the spring of 2025.

We in the unit also work with needs assessment for elderly care and housing adaptation.

Job responsibilities

As a public transport services officer, you will handle applications for public transport services and national public transport services with support from the Public Transport Services Act and the National Public Transport Services Act. The work involves independently investigating cases, assessing, and making decisions according to the laws and guidelines for public transport services and national public transport services in Lidköping Municipality. For your investigation, you will have contacts with customers via phone and digitally. The work mainly involves investigating the customer's difficulties in moving and traveling with public transport. You will also review medical statements submitted in the case.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree, for example in law, behavioral science, social work, or other equivalent education, such as occupational therapy. You have experience in case management or investigative work, for example from social services or equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you have also worked with the elderly and people with disabilities. We use Lifecare as our operational system.

To thrive and function well in the role, you need to be communicative and have the ability to inform and convey decisions clearly, correctly, and smoothly both in writing and verbally. We prefer that you are a humble team player with a flexible approach in the workgroup, as well as being self-driven with a problem-solving analytical ability. You are structured, meticulous, and responsible.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
