Responsibilities

As a vocational teacher, you will work with teaching, be a mentor for a class, and be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons and courses in the Electrical and Energy Program. The work is carried out in collaboration with colleagues, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school. You are also responsible for maintaining good contacts with the industry, preparing and guiding students during their internships at external workplaces.

You are expected to collaborate with the principal, program coordinator, and student health and be involved in development and quality work together with your colleagues. You contribute knowledge and attitudes to a sharing culture in the workplace.

At Lindholmen Technical High School, there are about 950 students, about 90 employees, and Gothenburg's widest range of technical education - both practical and theoretical. Here you can study the Electrical and Energy Program, Industrial Technology Program, Maritime Education, Technology Program, and Plumbing and Property Program.

Lindholmen Technical High School is certified as a Teknikcollege.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with professional competence and experience in the electrical industry. If you are also a trained vocational teacher with the authority to teach Electrical subjects (the position mainly involves teaching in automation) that is an advantage.

If you are not yet a qualified vocational teacher, we can offer you a fixed-term employment while you study. A vocational teacher's degree is required for permanent employment.

You have a genuine interest in young people and are attentive to the needs of different students. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement and adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation. You are a team player who works together with your colleagues for the benefit of the entire program. Your way of being is characterized by creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and the desire to be an inspiration for students.
