Description

We are now looking for 2 urban planners.

One position is a temporary contract as one of our employees will be on parental leave. The other position is a fixed-term contract for the entire year of 2026. Both positions have the possibility of extension depending on upcoming financial decisions.

As an urban planner, you will work with the entire planning process – from idea to adoption. You will drive detailed plans and strategic documents that shape the municipality's future. The role involves both independent work and close collaboration with colleagues, citizens, businesses, and authorities. You will be part of our planning and building unit, which consists of about 15 employees within the Community Building Administration.

Responsibilities

• Establish and revise detailed plans, planning programs, and strategic documents
• Process planning matters from planning decision to adoption
• Collaborate with citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders to create inclusive and sustainable solutions
• Participate in dialogue meetings, consultations, and presentations
• Write service letters and present matters at political meetings
• Contribute to the unit's development work

Qualifications

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in urban planning who enjoys working both strategically and operationally. You are structured, communicative, and have an easy time collaborating. You have the ability to see the big picture while managing details with precision.

We would like you to have:

• A degree in architecture, physical planning, or equivalent education
• Experience in detailed planning or urban planning
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license (the municipality provides environmentally friendly cars)
• Experience working in a politically governed organization is an advantage
• An interest in cultural heritage issues is a plus
