Wrknest is now recruiting a junior designer for an international industrial company for a 1-year temporary position starting by agreement. The company develops innovative lifting solutions that streamline and improve ergonomics for businesses worldwide.
In this role, you will be part of their design and project team in Kungsbacka. The focus is on drafting work and customized solutions where you will work project-based from quotation basis to finished drawings for production. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and quickly build your competence in mechanical design in an environment where technology, quality, and collaboration are at the center.
Your Future ResponsibilitiesYou will work on the design and customization of lifting equipment. The work is carried out in close collaboration with senior designers, sales, and production to ensure that the solutions are both technically and practically feasible.
Work in 3D-CAD, primarily SolidWorks, with the creation and updating of models and drawings
Develop customized solutions based on given concepts and guidelines
Create and update technical documentation and BOMs
Participate in projects from quotation stage to finished production documentation
Ensure that designs are adapted for manufacturing through dialogue with production
Requirements:
Have an engineering degree or equivalent technical education in mechanics or mechanical engineering
Have 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design
Have good knowledge of 3D-CAD, preferably SolidWorks
Speak and write fluently in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques such as welding, bending, and cutting
Understanding of electrical, mechatronics, or pneumatics
Experience in customer contact or technical support
As a person, you are meticulous and structured and have a genuine interest in how products are actually manufactured and used. You enjoy translating customer needs into clear, well-thought-out solutions and want to continue developing within design.

About the ClientThe client has developed and manufactured lifting equipment since the late 1980s and helps companies worldwide create more efficient and ergonomic workplaces. The headquarters, production, and sales are located in Kungsbacka, where about 90 employees work.
The products are sold globally through an agent network and own companies and are used by larger international companies in food, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and manufacturing. The client is part of a larger international industrial group with a strong presence in the global market.
