The Central Workshop for Medical Technology is located in Gothenburg and is part of Mark Workshop West, which operates in Halmstad and Gothenburg. We perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology products and deliver technical system support where requested. This involves maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, installations, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. The work is carried out in our own facilities and partly on-site with the units.

Main Responsibilities

We are now looking for technicians for the Swedish Armed Forces' central workshop within medical technology.

The duties consist mainly of preventive and corrective maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology equipment, including but not limited to:

• Maintenance of medical technology products
• System support trips. (International travel may be required)
• Act as a consultant regarding technical modifications, new acquisitions, procurement, and potentially planning for future quality system improvements
• Documentation in the Swedish Armed Forces' support system for material maintenance
• Conduct simpler training sessions and provide technical support within the field
• Other occasional tasks within the unit

Examples of equipment handled:

Monitoring monitors, defibrillators, infusion and volumetric pumps, autoclaves, dishwashers/disinfectors, pressure reducing valves, ventilators, suction pumps, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• At least a completed and approved upper secondary education with a technical or electrical focus, or competence acquired through professional experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• Previous experience of several years of practical service and maintenance work on technical equipment
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Computer literacy with knowledge of e.g., Word and Excel
• At least a Category B driver's license (manual transmission)

Employment type: Permanent position starting with a 6-month probationary period.
