About the role

As an automation technician at Elektrobyrån, you will become part of a cohesive automation team working with the installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance of industrial automation solutions. The role is broad and varied, allowing you to follow projects from the construction of control cabinets to installation and commissioning at the customer's site.

You will work closely with both machine manufacturers and end customers across various industries, meaning no two days are alike. Duties include assembling and installing automation equipment, troubleshooting control systems and process equipment, servicing existing machinery, as well as documentation and self-inspections. You will also maintain ongoing customer contact and provide technical advice in connection with projects and service assignments.

The position primarily involves work in the local area, but travel occurs in connection with installations and commissioning at customers throughout Sweden and occasionally internationally. You will have an independent role with significant responsibility while having close support from knowledgeable colleagues in the team.

About you

We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in a role as an automation technician, industrial electrician, or maintenance electrician within the industry. You are accustomed to working practically with the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of machines or automation equipment and feel confident taking on assignments independently at customer sites.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have good technical understanding, a solution-oriented approach to work, and the ability to adapt to different types of projects and customer environments. You enjoy combining practical work with customer contact and appreciate working in a small group where collaboration, responsibility, and lack of hierarchy are important parts of daily life.

We expect you to have a B driver's license, good knowledge of Swedish, and the ability to travel for work when projects require it. Experience with PLC programming or holding an ECY certificate is meritorious but not a requirement.

Requirements for the position:

• Several years of work experience as an automation technician, maintenance electrician, industrial electrician, or equivalent
• B driver's license
• Swedish language skills (spoken and written)

Meritorious qualifications:

• Knowledge of PLC programming
• ECY certificate
