Do you want to work in a business-oriented legal role where you combine qualified construction law with community benefit for the residents of Stockholm? As a construction lawyer at the Property Office, you will contribute legal expertise to the city's construction projects and property development, in an environment where competence and collaboration are in focus.

As a construction lawyer within the operational support department at the Property Office, you will work closely with various construction projects and provide legal advice on different types of construction law matters. The emphasis of the role is on construction law, but you will also handle other legal issues within the property law area. With us, you will be part of a team with two other lawyers who primarily assist the organization with legal advice regarding commercial lease law and other property-related legal matters.

Your role

Your main responsibilities include:

  • assisting the business with ongoing legal advice in the Property Office's construction-related projects
  • reviewing and drafting contracts, governing documents, and templates
  • managing and driving claims
  • representing the Property Office in disputes and/or coordinating external representatives in disputes when necessary
  • conducting internal training in construction law
  • monitoring legal developments in your areas and communicating information about new legislation and practices to employees in the organization.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a law degree or equivalent
  • several years of current experience in construction law in a consultative and advisory role, preferably from a law firm, property company, or similar
  • excellent ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • knowledge and experience in other property law
  • knowledge and experience in procurement law
  • experience working in the property sector or community building
  • documented experience in conducting legal investigations
  • experience in assessments and disclosure of public documents
  • completed notarial service.

In your role as a lawyer at the Property Office, you will shift between strategic and operational perspectives. You have a good ability to find business solutions that work in practice, are used to working independently, and can drive your work forward with good judgment. You are outgoing and positive and have an easy time communicating and building good relationships. You seek collaboration and have the ability to create clarity for others in complex issues.
