Danderyd Gymnasium is one of Stockholm's largest high schools with about 1400 students. The school consists of four college preparatory programs (EK, NA, SA, TE) as well as a small adapted high school. The school also has a successful NIU operation, a nationally recruiting math specialization program, and an AST operation within SA. The operation is well-functioning with various specializations and many fine traditions. Danderyd Gymnasium (Dagy) has high goals, and most students continue to higher education.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In our adapted environments, students are trained for a future career in hotels, restaurants, and bakeries.

As a vocational teacher, you work to help students develop their full potential both academically and socially. Together with other teachers in the team, you support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their conditions. Your work includes planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as evaluation and development of the pedagogical activities, in accordance with the school's governing documents. This role also includes responsibility for marketing efforts for our adapted high school.

At Danderyd Gymnasium, we are organized into program work teams and deepening teams. You are expected to be an active team member and constructively contribute to collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license with vocational qualifications in hotel and restaurant management, possibly in combination with a subject qualification in home economics.
• Is well-versed in the mission and governing documents of the adapted high school.
• Has a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with young people with intellectual disabilities or other special needs.
• Experience working in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and events.
• Experience in marketing school activities.

You have a genuine interest in youth development and are driven by the desire to be part of their success in both studies and professional life. For us, it is important that you are unpretentious, curious, and open to developing your pedagogy.

You express yourself clearly and distinctly, adapt teaching to students' needs, and work in a structured manner. Since collaboration is a central part of the role, we would like you to enjoy working together with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
