Tureberg School

Tureberg School is located within walking distance from Sollentuna center. Approximately 230 students attend the school in grades F-9. We also have an RN unit with about 25 students with mobility impairments and municipality-wide teaching groups for about 40 students on the autism spectrum. The school has a well-functioning values foundation and actively works to create an accessible school for every student, and our employees are characterized by great commitment and high competence. We work every day preventively and compensatorily to support students' social and academic development. We are the small school with big opportunities!

Kärrdal School

Kärrdal School is a small F-6 school where you have good opportunities to influence. Currently, the school has about 240 students in 10 classes from F-6. The school is located in a residential area close to both forest and lake, and you can also teach in our outdoor classroom. For the past 4 years, we have had finalists in the Sollentuna Pedagogical Awards, so you will join a school with skilled and engaged colleagues who work extensively with leadership and stimulation.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher in wood and metal crafts who wants to inspire students and contribute to their development. The position is divided between Tureberg School (60%) and Kärrdal School (40%). At Tureberg School, there is also a unit for students with mobility impairments and students on the autism spectrum.

By involving students in the teaching, you awaken and harness their interest and curiosity, making the lessons exciting and innovative. In your interactions with students, you continually develop yourself and your role as a teacher. In your classroom, all students have the opportunity to succeed and demonstrate their knowledge in many different ways. In addition to pedagogical work, you build relationships with your colleagues and contribute to the school's development.

With us, you will meet engaged colleagues, a strong values foundation, and a work environment where we take responsibility for each other and our surroundings. The student health team, lead teachers, and special educational expertise are close to the operations and provide you with support in your daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree in wood and metal crafts with qualifications for grades 3-9. As a person, you are attentive and have a good ability to adapt teaching to the different needs and conditions of students. Leading, motivating, and creating engagement among students is a natural part of your working method.

You have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your assignment, while also having strong collaborative skills and building positive, trusting relationships with both students and colleagues. You are development-oriented and driven by the desire to constantly evolve in your role and actively contribute to the school's ongoing development work.

It is an advantage if you have experience teaching students with mobility impairments or on the autism spectrum, as well as if you have worked in multicultural schools. Experience integrating digital tools into teaching is also seen as a plus.
