Alvik School is a municipal F-9 school in Bromma that is integrated into Stockholm's only F-9 school for students with hearing adaptations.

The school has approximately 1000 students and about 180 staff members who focus on the student throughout the school day. We want our students to succeed in life by getting a good start at Alvik School. Our employees are committed, have a strong desire to develop and improve the school. Job Description

We are looking for a certified teacher in mathematics, science, and technology for grades 7-9 who is interested in teaching our students from a language development perspective. We have the flexibility based on your skills and qualifications.

During this school year, you will teach mathematics, science, and technology in our smaller teaching group as well as the students who need a smaller context in that group. You will collaborate with another colleague who, together with you, will be responsible for the group. If you have qualifications in another subject, it is an advantage.

You will adapt the teaching according to the students' needs and use various types of teaching materials, including digital resources.

The position includes mentorship with responsibilities for writing pedagogical investigations and action plans. You will be responsible for contacts with parents and other stakeholders.

To thrive with us, you need to have a good ability to collaborate, be attentive, and easily understand other people's perspectives. We work both with language development and formatively in all subjects, and we want you to actively contribute to this work.

Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified teacher with certification to teach mathematics, science, and technology at the upper secondary level.

You are professional, independent, and committed to working with students' development to achieve the school's goals and are well acquainted with current governing documents. You place the student at the center in all situations, have a positive view of students, and have a good ability to develop and plan teaching in collaboration with colleagues. You are clear and responsible. You also find it easy to collaborate with students and guardians as well as with colleagues and school management.

It is a requirement that you have previously taught in a smaller teaching group in grades 7-9. It is advantageous if you have previously taught students with problematic school attendance.
