Are you a person who believes in the power of movement and wants to make a difference for children both inside and outside the classroom? We are now looking for a primary school teacher with a focus on leisure activities, sports, and health for HT26.

IES Österåker is a dynamic and growing school where we combine academic excellence with a warm, family-like atmosphere. We are in an exciting phase of expansion, and by the autumn term of 2026, we will reach our full capacity as a two-parallel F–9 school. Despite our growth in size, we hold tightly to the safety and community that defines us; here, every student is seen, and every colleague is an important part of the team.

We are looking for a certified primary school teacher with a focus on leisure activities and the ability to teach sports and health (grades 1–3), or an equivalent educational background. In this position, you will get the best of both worlds, pedagogical teaching in sports and health for grades 1-3, as well as an exciting role in our leisure activities. You will also be a key player (Health Motivator Role) in our school-wide project #MovewithIES, where we actively work to promote physical activity for children and youth.

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher with a focus on leisure activities, sports, and health or another equivalent qualification to teach sports in grades 1-3. It is an advantage if you are bilingual (Swedish and English) and feel comfortable communicating in both languages in an international environment. You should also have the ability to create safety and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You should be a positive role model who is passionate about health and an active lifestyle.
