First Line Social Services

Haninge Municipality is adapting to the future of social services and has therefore established a first line social service.

Here we have gathered early and preventive advice and support measures with the aim of offering residents help at an early stage to prevent serious issues. We want to be close to the residents and make it easier to contact social services. As part of gathering the first line social services, we have a common reception for children, youth, and adults.

Your mission

As a social worker in the reception for children, youth, and adults, your main task is to receive and assess incoming reports of concern and applications regarding children, youth, and adults. The role also involves providing advice and offering consultation to parents, relatives, and individuals who are concerned about children and adults in their vicinity.

The team uses Signs of Safety as a working method. The role includes collaboration with internal and external partners, as well as addressing our citizens with professionalism and respect.

We are looking for you who are a trained social worker

We prefer that you have extensive knowledge and experience in the authority's work for children and youth, and we would like you to have experience working with adults with dependency issues. We are looking for someone who wants to develop and also contribute with your knowledge and commitment. Here you will have the opportunity to work with engaged and knowledgeable colleagues to make a positive impact for the children of Haninge and their parents, as well as for adults. We are the face of social services and actively work to ensure that all citizens receive the right support at the right time.

What we are looking for in you

• A degree in social work is required
• Extensive experience in the authority's work for children and youth
• Experience working with adults with dependency issues is an advantage
• Experience and ability to make urgent assessments and plan and manage urgent interventions together with colleagues and team leaders
• You are resilient and able to handle urgent situations
• Knowledge and experience of BBIC
• Ability to document accurately and legally
• Knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety

Your competence

The role involves working with urgent situations, which requires you to be flexible and able to organize, delineate, and prioritize your tasks. Familiarity with having many points of contact. Being trustworthy and having good collaboration skills. Attentive and clear in your communication. Easy to build good relationships.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

What we can offer you

We can offer you a workplace with good structure, routines, and colleagues who are experienced, friendly, and engaged. The team consists of 12 social workers, one team leader, two administrative assistants, and one unit manager. The team receives supervision.

We are located in bright, pleasant office spaces close to shopping centers, restaurants, natural areas with swimming, skiing, and running trails, as well as Handen's commuter train station.
