About Kocher Hem AB Kocher Hem AB offers consultant-supported emergency and foster homes for children and young people in need of care, security, stability, and support. We work with a vision that all children have the right to a nurturing upbringing and a future full of opportunities. By carefully matching children with experienced, competent, and well-assessed foster homes, we ensure that each child receives holistic care and a strong foundation for their development. Our work involves close collaboration with social services, schools, healthcare, and other key stakeholders to create long-term security for the children.

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced foster home consultant for the region of Uppsala County/Stockholm County/Västmanland County/Örebro County. The work is based in the office, but there is an opportunity for remote work when the business allows it.

Responsibilities As a foster home consultant with us, you will have an important and varied role with responsibilities including:

· Recruiting and assessing new foster homes: Responsible for identifying, interviewing, and assessing foster homes that can provide a safe and stable environment. The work includes home visits, document collection, and ensuring necessary background checks.

· Support and guidance: Provide ongoing support and guidance to emergency and foster homes to assist them in their tasks and help them manage the challenges that may arise in working with placed children.

· Collaboration and care planning: Work closely with other stakeholders, including schools, healthcare, and social services, to ensure comprehensive support for each child. You will participate in care planning and network meetings and follow up to ensure agreed care measures are implemented.

· Monitoring and documentation: Continuously monitor the child's development and the foster home's situation through regular meetings and documentation of the child's well-being.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

· Education and experience: A degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent education, with experience in foster placements or working with children and youth.

· Knowledge: Good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), as well as experience working according to BBIC is an advantage.

· Personal qualities: Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, while also having a high degree of flexibility. You are communicative, have good collaboration skills, and a respectful approach in contacts with both children and emergency and foster homes. You are confident in handling changing circumstances and thrive in a role that requires accuracy and structure.

· Practical requirements: A valid driver's license and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
