Do you want to help shape a new role and make a real difference for children and families?

We are currently facing an exciting phase where an increased influx of decisions has raised the need for coordination in our operations, and we are therefore looking for a coordinator for Sparven Short-Term Accommodation. At Sparven, we welcome children aged 3–8 years with disabilities who have been granted overnight stays according to LSS. Here, children have the opportunity for recreation, play, and a change of environment, while their guardians receive valuable relief.

In this role, you will be the hub in the planning of the granted short-term stays, responsible for creating structure, quality, and safety for both the children, guardians, and the operation.

Your placement is at Sparven Short-Term Accommodation, but you will also work at Krondikesvägen 60 and our other workplaces in central Östersund. You have annual working hours and work office hours, 40 hours a week.

Start date is according to agreement.

Your new job

As a coordinator at Sparven Short-Term Accommodation, you are the spider in the web, the one who holds everything together and ensures that the operation functions safely, structured, and with the children's best interests in focus. Here, you will have a key role where you independently plan and organize the children's decisions regarding short-term stays. As a coordinator, you report directly to the unit manager and have great opportunities to influence how you organize your work.

Our goal is to create a thoughtful and needs-adapted child planning, where you schedule the stay and staffing effectively and quality-driven based on each child's conditions. The role requires a holistic approach where you weigh the children's various needs, disabilities, decided days, and the operation's occupancy to make the planning work. It is a complex and important puzzle where you contribute to ensuring that the children have a safe stay and that the guardians receive effective relief.

Your assignment includes planning granted days, scheduling staff based on the operation's needs, and being responsible for the logistics of the children's transportation to preschool. You do not work directly with the children, but you are a central part of creating the conditions for their safety and continuity. The role also involves administration in Heroma related to scheduling and personnel matters, as well as documentation in Viva.

As a coordinator, you have close dialogue and collaboration with both the unit manager and staff, as well as with guardians and other coordinators within our other child services in the sector. You work with us at Sparven but will eventually also receive assignments within other child services. Together with the other coordinators and our operational support, you form a strong and supportive team.

Common tasks

The work includes administrative tasks and involves both independent work and close collaboration with the unit manager, staff, and relatives. With your holistic view, good judgment, and clear communication, you ensure that the daily work at the unit functions. This may include:

  • Planning and organizing the children's short-term stays.
  • Staffing based on financial frameworks, scheduling according to applicable laws and regulations, reporting and planning for various types of absence, and planning for vacations.
  • Organizing and maintaining routines for good order and ensuring good planning.
  • Creating and maintaining good relationships with staff and relatives.
  • Being involved in the unit's operational planning and follow-ups.

The unit manager may delegate other tasks in addition to this.
