Library Assistant for Temporary Position at Campus Helsingborg

The Campus Helsingborg Library is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences' library, which serves as a central learning and study environment for students, researchers, and teachers.
We are now seeking a librarian for a temporary position with varied and developing work content. The placement at Campus Helsingborg means that you will be an important part of a smaller team characterized by good collaboration, commitment, and flexibility. Job Responsibilities
The position is a temporary role where the tasks shift somewhat over time, depending on the needs of the organization. Duration of the temporary position: from 2026-03-16 (or by agreement) until 2027-06-30.
During 2026, the focus will be on:
- Media management and collection work.
- User support with a particular focus on accessibility, including booking and conducting audio book conversations with students who need accessible course literature (Legimus).
Together with your colleagues, you will also work at the library's information desk, and other usual librarian tasks may occur.
In spring 2027, the focus will be on:
- Media management and collection work.
- Teaching information literacy within Campus Helsingborg's programs, in collaboration with colleagues.

The work requires a good ability to plan and prioritize, as the workload varies throughout the semesters. You will work closely with colleagues in several teams and contribute to the library's joint development work.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Degree in library and information science, or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Desirable:
- Experience in media management, such as acquisition, weeding, and cataloging.
- Experience working with accessible literature, audio books, or Legimus.
- Experience in user support or service work in libraries or similar organizations.
- Experience in teaching information literacy.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, meticulous, and has good judgment. You are attentive in meetings with users, can handle confidential conversations professionally, and enjoy working both independently and collaboratively. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
