ArkivIT is a consulting company with expertise in digital archiving and information management, offering services in our areas of Archiving & Registration, Data Protection, Information Security, and E-archiving. The company was founded in 2010, and since then, our services have expanded, our expertise has broadened, and we continue to grow. Our consultants are dedicated to their profession and contribute their specialist knowledge to clients across Sweden. Our ambition is to care for and safeguard the digital cultural heritage while strengthening our clients in modern e-governance and information management.
About the role We are looking for you who are new in your career as an Archivist and live in Skåne, for example, Malmö or Lund!
As a Junior Archival Consultant at ArkivIT, you will have the opportunity to work on varied assignments in roles such as registrar, archive assistant, or document controller. Our clients are primarily in the public sector – municipalities, municipal companies, government agencies, and regions – which means a broad insight into different operations and working methods.
With us, you will be part of Information Management Sydväst, a team of eight employees who are passionate about structure, order, and development. We are a close-knit group that enjoys helping each other and building knowledge together. Even though you work independently at the client site, you always have access to a strong knowledge base in the form of your colleagues as well as support and guidance from your consulting manager.
Currently, several of our clients are seeking expertise in archiving and registration. The duration of assignments usually varies between 3–6 months, with a scope of 50–100% depending on the client's needs.
The position is based in Skåne, and you will work closely with our clients, at their offices, with the possibility to combine with remote work depending on the nature of the assignment.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you as our new colleague!
Qualifications
University degree in archival science of at least 60 ECTS, or equivalent higher education
Good system knowledge
Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
Meritorious
Practical experience as an archivist or registrar
Knowledge and experience of electronic document management systems, and digital preservation
Personal abilities We believe that you are a responsive and pragmatic person who communicates clearly and pedagogically. As new in the consulting role, you see it as an opportunity to grow and develop — both in your profession and in meeting new organizations. You are curious, unpretentious, and tackle tasks with an open mind, even when the pace is high or conditions change.
As a consultant, you are a good representative of ArkivIT at the client site, and you enjoy creating trusting relationships by being service-oriented, structured, and responsible. We also believe that you appreciate the opportunity to receive support and knowledge exchange from experienced colleagues, and that you actively want to contribute to the community and ArkivIT's continued development forward.
Our offer to you ArkivIT is a competence company, which means that we care about your development and provide you with many opportunities to increase your knowledge. We ensure that you receive annual training through a competence fund and gather all employees regularly, both physically and digitally, for competence forums where we share experiences and inspire each other. Your colleagues are experienced in the industry, and as an employer, we make sure to gather everyone at annual events such as summer parties, Christmas parties, Easter parties, kick-offs, and other fun events within the company. In this role, you will have a flexible everyday life where you set your own working hours based on the client's needs.
We care about you as an employee and value a learning environment with an open climate and allocate time for reflection and feedback.
Application Do not wait with your application; we interview continuously, and the position may be filled when we find the right candidate. If you have questions about the role or the company, please feel free to contact the recruiting manager Gustav Rönne at [email protected]
