Your role with us

In collaboration with teachers, integrate the school library as an important tool in teaching, work thematically, stimulate reading through book talks and reading projects, provide guidance and training in information retrieval, media monitoring, literature purchasing, and participate in the school's pedagogical practices. In the municipality, there is a well-functioning collaboration with other school librarians, the school library central, and public libraries.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a degree in library and information science who has a committed interest in children, youth, and their literature. Planning and leading book discussions and source criticism for students in grades 7-9 is part of the role. We would like you to have previously worked as a school librarian or have other experience working with children and youth aged 13-16. As a librarian, you also need to have good IT skills, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of website production. You have an interest in pedagogical work and collaborating with educators based on your expertise, as well as developing our library plan in consultation with students and other staff. You are an initiative-driven and development-oriented person who is also good at collaborating. Through your ability to be flexible and open to change, you can meet students where they are and engage in social contexts. You also contribute to developing the school's environment through your commitment to upgrading the existing library, which creates both well-being and better conditions for learning.
