Museum Host at Trelleborg Museums

In Trelleborg, we work together for a growing successful community where life is good. Our 61 villages and 21 districts are creative meeting places that bubble with life. Here we want to do things, tell about them, and come just as we are. This makes us welcome others in the same generous and curious way.

Welcome to take your place on the journey!

Cultural and Leisure Administration

The Cultural and Leisure Administration operates based on everyone’s right to meaningful free time. In all our activities, we create opportunities for people to meet, co-create, experience, and participate in a varied range of cultural, sports, and leisure activities for all. Culture and leisure are important pieces in a growing Trelleborg, and our work contributes to attractiveness, safety, as well as quality of life and public health.

Since everything that Trelleborg Municipality does is based on our values of openness, respect, and responsibility, it is important and crucial that these values are as self-evident to you as they are to us in our work.

The Workplace

The Cultural and Leisure Administration in Trelleborg creates meeting places for children, youth, and adults through culture, sports, and events. We deliver knowledge, experiences, and service to the municipality's residents, associations, and visitors.

The position of museum host is part of the unit for Pedagogy, Hospitality, and Visitor Destination Development under the department of Cultural Heritage, Art, and Museums. The department includes activities at Trelleborg Museum, the Viking Museum Trelleborgen, Axel Ebbe's Art Hall, and the Cultural Magazine. Trelleborg Museums places great importance on a welcoming and accessible hospitality. The museums have extensive educational activities, several events, permanent and temporary exhibitions, a cinema, educational workshops, and outdoor environments, and collaborate with universities, researchers, and associations. All three museums have a foyer with a shop and café that also serves as a reception. In recent years, the museums have initiated several participant-driven projects and have invested in developing work with community culture and participant-driven processes. Our goal is to create an inclusive hospitality and cultural offering that promotes democracy, equality, and creativity for all, regardless of background or circumstances.

You will be part of a team that also works with Trelleborg Museum and the Viking Museum Trelleborgen. Together, you ensure that visitors have the best possible experience.
