About the Role
At Ramboll, we work according to our strategy – “The Partner for Sustainable Change” – and we are now looking for someone who wants to join us on this journey and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Do you want to make a difference in a world that is in great need of change while also having the opportunity to further develop within your area of expertise? If so, you are likely the person we are looking for. We welcome you to a collaborative environment where innovation, technology, and sustainable communities are our common focus. You will have the support of engaged colleagues with extensive experience and broad expertise across many technical fields.
You are driven by working closely with colleagues both within your own and other technical areas, where you contribute with your experience and skills. As a Technical Manager, you will play an important role in developing and proposing qualitative and feasible technical solutions while leading the design work.
We are interested in connecting with those who are ready for new challenges and want to learn more about us at Ramboll. For this role, we believe you have at least five (5) years of experience in leading design projects and good knowledge of Civil 3D. If you have knowledge and experience with Open Roads, it is an advantage. To ensure the quality of our deliveries, it is important that you have solid skills in 3D design. Additionally, experience working on complex assignments is a plus.
You will belong to your local unit, which is part of the Highways & Infrastructure division. As our new Technical Manager for Roads, Streets, and Land, you will lead and be responsible for the technical progress in both single and multidisciplinary assignments of varying sizes. We work on projects for government, municipal, and private clients, and you will collaborate closely both nationally and internationally. One day you might lead a project in Sundsvall or Gothenburg, and the next day work on projects in Stockholm, England, or Denmark.
We place great importance on your personality and social skills. You should be communicative and collaborative, and we would like you to have good competence in land and street design.
Your main responsibilities
- Coordination and management of designers in road, land, and street design
- Responsibility for budget, scheduling, and resources within the technical area
- AMA texts – contribute with the technical area's codes in TB and MF
- Assist and/or handle bids together with colleagues
- Develop the unit's work in collaboration with colleagues both nationally and internationally
- Ensure technical quality and contribute with solution proposals in the projects
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe the following applies to you
- Have good knowledge of regulations in land and street design and experience as a road, land, or street designer
- Have a higher education degree in civil engineering
- Have good competence in 3D design, particularly in Civil 3D (Open Roads is a plus)
- Have an interest in networking and building relationships, both internally and externally
- Have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English
- Experience with complex assignments is a plus
- Have a strong interest in working with our international colleagues
- Knowledge of the German language
- Ability to work in global environments
