The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for Klostret in Ystad, Ystad Art Museum, Ystad Library, Youth House, Culture School, Ystad Arena Swimming and Halls, Nybrostrandsbadet, and sports facilities, as well as close contact with the association life. About 100 employees work here to create good conditions for a stimulating and active leisure time and a rewarding, enriching cultural life for the residents of Ystad.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work together with our caretaker/driver to ensure that our approximately 30 Boken kommer borrowers receive a personal and regular supply of books delivered to their homes. This way, they can continue to participate in the library's activities. The assignment also includes reaching users who can no longer visit the libraries due to age or illness, as well as developing and finding new forms of collaboration in the municipality with a focus on the target group.

You will be part of the adult program group and together with your colleagues organize author visits, lectures, book clubs, technology meetings, and other events. Your entry point in this is to find activities that appeal to our older residents and ideally create more meeting places between generations.

You will also be part of our book bus team and drive book bus tours one day a week.

Information services at the city library on weekdays, evenings, and weekends are included in the work, along with other tasks normally associated with a public library.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Degree in Library and Information Science
• Driver's license (B)
• Experience in outreach work at public libraries

Experience with Boken kommer or other outreach activities is an advantage.

To work on the book bus, you need to feel comfortable driving a light truck (B-automatic license) and independently serving both children and adults.

To thrive in this job, you need to have a broad interest in literature and culture as well as an interest in the target group.
