We are located in the middle of the Öresund region and have good communication options with buses, trains, and bike paths to nearby towns. We are currently building a new municipal building in central Lomma, which is expected to be completed in 2027. In the meantime, we are working from offices in scenic Alnarp and central Lomma.
The municipal archive is responsible for preserving the municipality's analog documents and making them accessible for the future. Lomma Municipality is a member of the municipal association Sydarkivera, which manages our digital archive. With us, you will become an important part of a knowledgeable team consisting of two archivists within the administration department of the Municipal Executive Office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in information management and archives who wants to support and develop the archive and information management in Lomma Municipality during 2026.
You will primarily work with the area of community building throughout the year.
Your tasks will include:
- organizing and cataloging archives
- conducting disposal and disposal investigations
- handling inquiries, retrievals, and confidentiality assessments
- participating in the work of updating the municipality's information management plans within the community building area
Intensive preparations are also underway for the move of our local archives and municipal archives to the new municipal building. Therefore, you will play an important role in planning and practical preparatory work related to the move.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- has, or will complete in the spring, a university degree in archive and information science or another equivalent education
- has good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing information management in the public sector, such as the Archives Act, the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the data protection regulations
- preferably has knowledge of process-based information reporting
- preferably has experience working as an archivist in public administration
- preferably has knowledge or experience in the area of community building.
To thrive in this role, you need to be structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You also need to express yourself very well in both spoken and written language, as you will collaborate with many different operations. The work requires both independence and the ability to follow common working methods. Personal suitability will be an important part of our assessment.
