The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, primary school, after-school care, high school, adult education, and child and student health. Here, about 1100 employees work together to create a safe and developing school and childcare environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As our school social worker, you will belong to the student health teams of both schools, where the mission is to work preventively and promote students' learning, development, safety, and health. The position is divided with 60% at Köpingebro School and 40% at Löderup School. The work is conducted at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The work as our schools' social worker is carried out in close collaboration with teachers and other staff and is conducted in a salutogenic approach aimed at removing barriers to students' learning.

As a school social worker with us in Köpingebro and Löderup, you will work with students in grades F-6 and be an important part of the school's student health team, where you collaborate with the school nurse, school psychologist, special educators, and principal. In Löderup, you are also part of the preschool's child team in a consultative role.

Your tasks include school social work interventions such as counseling, support conversations, information efforts, investigations, and collaboration with external actors such as social services.

You primarily work preventively, with a particular focus on student social issues and contribute to creating a safe and inclusive school environment. Building and nurturing relationships with students is a central part of your work, where you are regularly present to strengthen contact with students and promote a positive school day. You will also have individual conversations with students, collaborate closely with the school's various working teams, and maintain regular contact with parents to support students' well-being and development in both the short and long term.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. It is an advantage if you have experience as a social worker in primary school and have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and what they entail.

To thrive in this position, you should have a good empathetic ability and be confident in building relationships with children. You should also be stable, flexible, and enjoy independent work. You have a high social ability where relationship-building and collaboration skills are important components. You have pedagogical insight, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to contribute the specialist knowledge that the social worker function entails.
