About the Workplace

Djuramossa is a daily activity center located outside Domsten in beautiful surroundings. The focus of the activity is on animals, nature, and following our seasons and their holidays. We work seasonally based on sustainability and local production, with recycling as a recurring element in our work.

The facility also includes a conference room, where our participants in the service group handle bookings and prepare simple food and snacks for our conference guests.

Job Responsibilities

Your role as a support educator involves providing individual support to help them manage their lives, make choices, and motivate them to lead an active life in society. You will ensure that the interventions outlined in the implementation plans are planned, executed, evaluated, and developed as needed. Part of the job involves having an overview and being a support to contact persons by ensuring that established, decision-making, and appropriate routines are documented, followed, and updated. You will also participate in a network with other support educators to exchange knowledge and experiences.

Challenging behavior is common, and as a support educator, you will be part of the work with care and activities alongside your colleagues and participants.

Your responsibilities also include ensuring documentation and providing support and guidance to colleagues in the educational work. You will quality assure the educational work at the unit, always in close dialogue with your colleagues, in your network, and with your supervisor.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who, in addition to a basic education, has a post-secondary education, qualified vocational training, or higher education with a specialization in the disability field equivalent to 200 YH credits or 60 higher education credits. You need to have knowledge and experience in development and improvement work according to the intentions of the LSS legislation.

The position requires very good knowledge and experience of:

• working with individuals with autism at a low developmental level
• low-arousal responses and approaches
• TEACCH and MI
• driving license (B)

Furthermore, you need to have basic computer skills and documentation experience. Based on the focus of the activity, you should enjoy gardening, cultivation, working with animals, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Experience in psychiatry is an advantage.

The workplace is not accessible by public transport, so you need to ensure that you can reach the workplace by other means.
