Your role with us

One of our family home secretaries has chosen to move on to another position. As part of our continued development of family home care, the department has also decided to increase the number of family home secretaries, which means we are now looking for three family home secretaries.

As a family home secretary, you will work with follow-up and guidance of family homes. You will create a trusting and supportive relationship with the family home by providing support and guidance in the assignment and in the role of family home. You will also be responsible for investigating contact families.

In this role, you will be responsible for contracts and compensation issues based on delegation, for legally secure processing and decisions in individual cases, and for ensuring that established routines are followed. You will continuously collaborate with investigating social workers, the child's social worker, colleagues in the family home team, and the professional network based on the child's needs. Collaboration with colleagues within the department as well as with external partners is also part of the job.

Who are we looking for?

We would like you to be self-assured, structured, flexible, creative, and courageous. The ability to take responsibility and handle difficult and urgent situations is an advantage. It is seen as positive that you are a humble person and can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a team. We appreciate the ability to listen, show empathy, and respect.

A degree in social work is required for this position. We would prefer that you have completed training in BBIC and basic and advanced training in Signs of Safety. If you have completed training in investigative methods for recruiting family homes and the training "A Home to Grow In," it is an advantage.

Experience of authority exercise within the social services' area of responsibility is required, and it is an advantage if you have experience in family home care. Since communication and documentation are part of the job, you need to have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Experience working in the Lifecare system is also an asset. You who apply to us need to have a B driver's license and cycling skills to easily get around our municipality if needed.

This is us

The Children and Youth Services at the Department of Work and Welfare is engaged in a purposeful development effort to provide a social service with good quality for our citizens. The department is responsible for investigations and interventions for children and youth aged 0-20 years who need protection and support, including family home placements. Furthermore, the department also works with family law cases and preventive measures in the municipality of Kristianstad.

The Children and Youth Services currently consist of eight units: a unit for preventive work, three investigation units with reception teams and five investigation teams, an outpatient care unit, a HVB unit, a family law unit, and a task unit (child secretary team and family home team).
