JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are in a development phase and are looking for a social worker for the child team as we implement the new social services act.

The child team is part of the Unit for Children, Families, and Adults. The unit is responsible for all authority exercise, children and youth, family law, domestic violence, adults with addiction and/or mental health issues, and financial assistance. The unit consists of 20 employees, all of whom are experienced social workers and possess high authority-exercising competence.

The child group consists of 8 child investigators, one of whom also works with foster placements. The main tasks are to investigate children's needs, but since we are a smaller municipality, we help each other across boundaries when needed. You will have a senior social worker as support in your work.

The unit employs ambitious and dedicated social workers, and the leadership is based on trust and development. We view competence development as a natural part of the job, which is why external supervision is provided continuously. We work according to BBiC and use the Lifecare operational system.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and an interest in and experience with authority exercise. You are well acquainted with the legislation and regulations concerning social services work. You are interested in staying updated on issues related to the field, and it is important to you that the work performed has the desired effect. You see it as natural to work goal-oriented both at the individual level and from an organizational perspective.

To thrive in this role, we believe you are curious and humble about people's different life situations. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt and think anew if the assignment requires it. You navigate independently in your work and are prepared to take significant responsibility for your assignment.
